Take me back… JUST TAKE ME BACK!! Per usual I’ve taken far too long to get these photos uploaded, but I simply just need to go back to Cali and leave all of my troubles here in Vancouver!! Not to suggest that I have troubles (per say), but being able to unplug from the stresses of work is a rare treat, and this was one of the only times I’ve truly “unplugged!” Nonetheless, here are a few photos from my adventures… and I’m confident in saying “STAY TUNED” for another round of Cali photos sometime in the near future!
When I found out I would be attending a conference for work in Kissimmee, Florida, it only took me a couple of seconds to decide I would turn my work-trip into a little vacation! After many twists and turns (including Rob being unable to attend – but thank you WestJet for providing a full credit!) we ended up deciding to take my niece and nephew to the Magic Kingdom at Disney World; but I’m unsure who enjoyed the experience more – the adults, or the kids?! While I could probably write for days about how much it meant for me to take the kids to Disney, I will let the photographs do the talking (because a picture is worth a thousand words, right?)!
I’ve heard that Tower Beach at UBC is a nice, quiet spot to check out, but I had no idea just how beautiful it would be! We weren’t really dressed appropriately given the weather, and definitely didn’t have the right shoes on to be trekking through the trails and along the slippery rocky beach, but it was worth it! In case you aren’t sure where to locate Tower Beach, check out the map below.
For some reason I woke up VERY early this morning and couldn’t fall back asleep – so I decided to make the most of it and head out on a little early morning photo adventure. Although my initial plan was to capture the sunrise from Jericho Beach, I quickly realized that there wouldn’t be any sunrise today given the thick fog! But, that was okay! Apart from the below-zero temperature I thoroughly enjoying my walk around Jericho Beach and managed to capture some of the “Freezing Fog” that was rolling through.
